New South is excited to announce the winners of our 2016 Writing Contest!

3rd place: “Lessons in the Provenance of Living” by Jessica Plante
PROSE, Judged by Matthew Salesses
1st place: “Lipless” by Eric Schlich
2nd place: “One Rough, One Tender” by Amy Silverberg
3rd place: “Birds of St. Augustine” by Cynthia Gunadi
Our first place winners will be awarded $1,000 prizes; second place winners, $250; and third place winners, a three-year subscription to New South. And of course, all of these pieces will be published in the Fall issue, New South 9.2.
